NALOXONE

NALOXONE

Naloxone (Narcan®) is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. It can very quickly restore normal respiration to a person whose breathing has slowed or stopped because of overdosing from heroin, fentanyl, or prescription opioid pain medications. Naloxone (Narcan) is not a substitute for medical care, so if someone experiences a drug overdose call 9-1-1 for immediate medical assistance.
